Randolph Allen attended the University of North Carolina then immediately entered the real estate industry in 1972. Mr. Allen’s career parallels that of his brother William, with Randolph overseeing the design and development of the communities the group has developed.
He has 41 years of experience in leading the design and development of single-family housing communities in the Southeast, starting decades ago with relatively small single-family home communities, scaling up to the more recent 1,000+ home community developments. These projects required detailed management of engineers, general contractors, project managers and budgeting for the successful development of our single-family communities. Work completed included the installation of community infrastructure, construction of manmade lakes, marinas, clubhouses and diverse amenities and installation of site utilities, including waste water treatment plants.
Mr. Allen has led the design and development of dozens of large-scale communities in the southeastern United States, making the group one of the most successful single-family waterfront development companies in the nation since 1994.
During the recent real estate boom he was coordinating the activities of a diverse group of subcontractors and interacting with various government agencies on several large construction projects, some as large as $60 million.
He has deep insights into all facets of single-family housing community developments.
He will closely manage the performance and delivery of the more than 50 local Property Management companies USHI will have under contract.
Mr. Allen is a contributor to the National Braille Press and Metrolina Association for the Blind.
