Chief Financial Officer
Alan Kelly has over 35 years of finance, operations and corporate development experience.
He spent 6 years as the CFO of the 60,000 employee global group Bata Ltd.
He developed and presented strategic plans to an international Board which included the CEO’S and Chairmen of global companies.
While CFO, Mr. Kelly led a 1,000-acre mixed use real estate development subsidiary, BLC Properties Inc., which developed a prime property on an I-95 interchange outside Baltimore.
In1994 he became the President of Bata’s largest operating group, with 15,000 employees in 11 countries.
He was Chairman of Bata controlled public companies in 6 countries, structuring boards which comprised retired Finance Ministers and leading industrialists from each of these countries.
Mr. Kelly was Director and Audit Committee Chairman of $1 Billion NYSE listed Footstar Inc., overseeing the sale of the company’s assets to Sears Inc.
His early career included audit, controllership, CFO and corporate development roles with Arthur Andersen, Westinghouse, Nortel, Bell- Northern Research, St. Lawrence Sugar and Jannock Ltd.
As a principal with US Housing Investments LLC (“USHI”) and Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Kelly is now focused on structuring a series of USHI Private Funds to facilitate institutional scale investor entry into two distressed single-family housing asset classes:
1. REO land and lots for development and sale to homebuilders.
2. Vacant single family home acquisition, renovation and rental.
Mr. Kelly holds a B.Sc. Economics, is an alumni of London Business School (SEP) and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.
